petrol...hands up

Petrol in Pakistan Rs17 per litr
Malaysia Rs 18 per litr
In India it's Rs.65per litr

Why is there a difference within India itself? World Market CRUDE Oil is not
the reason for this. It's all Gain for private owners? As we are the
general public, or Common Man as R.K.Laxman wud hv said, we have to
raise our voice, let's raise thru Emails.

IT HAS BEEN CALCULATED THAT IF EVERYONE DID NOT PURCHASE A DROP OF
PETROL FOR ONE DAY AND ALL AT THE SAME TIME, THE OIL COMPANIES WOULD
CHOKE ON THEIR STOCKPILES.
AT THE SAME TIME IT WOULD HIT THE ENTIRE INDUSTRY WITH A NET LOSS
OVER 4.6 BILLION DOLLARS WHICH AFFECTS THE BOTTOM LINES OF THE OIL
COMPANIES.

THEREFORE " Feb.14 th" HAS BEEN FORMALLY DECLARED
"STICK IT UP THEIR BEHIND " DAY AND THE PEOPLE OF THIS NATION SHOULD
NOT BUY A SINGLE DROP OF PETROL THAT DAY.

THE ONLY WAY THIS CAN BE DONE IS IF YOU FORWARD THIS E-MAIL TO AS
MANY PEOPLE AS YOU CAN AND AS QUICKLY AS YOU CAN TO GET THE WORD
OUT. WAITING ON THE GOVERNMENT TO STEP IN AND CONTROL THE PRICES IS
NOT GOING TO HAPPEN. WHAT HAPPENED TO THE REDUCTION AND CONTROL
IN PRICES THAT THE ARAB NATIONS PROMISED TWO WEEKS AGO?
REMEMBER ONE THING, NOT ONLY IS THE PRICE OF PETROL GOING UP BUT
AT THE SAME TIME AIRLINES ARE FORCED TO RAISE THEIR PRICES,
TRUCKING COMPANIES ARE FORCED TO RAISE THEIR PRICES WHICH AFFECTS
PRICES ON EVERYTHING THAT IS SHIPPED. THINGS LIKE FOOD, CLOTHING,
BUILDING SUPPLIES MEDICAL SUPPLIES ETC. WHO PAYS IN THE END? WE
DO!

WE CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE.IF THEY DON'T GET THE MESSAGE AFTER ONE
DAY, WE WILL DO IT AGAIN. SO DO YOUR PART AND SPREAD THE
WORD.

A DAY THAT THE CITIZENS SAY
"ENOUGH IS ENOUGH"

We forward so many junk email to many of our friends or collegues, now let us do
it for some useful cause to cut down the price of the petrol .. ....

India and Its POVERTY

Poverty in India

Poverty in India is a major issue. Rural Indians depend on unpredictable agriculture incomes, while urban Indians rely on jobs that are, at best, scarce.

India is a country of extremes. On the one hand, the booming IT branch has caused a furor around the world. However, on the other hand, a large part of the population still lives in extreme poverty.
Nevertheless, people with professional qualifications have a realistic chance of getting a job in this threshold country,
Since its independence, the issue of poverty within India has remained a prevalent concern. As of 2010, more than 37% of India’s population of 1.35 billion still lives below the poverty line. More than 22% of the entire rural population and 15% of the urban population of India exists in this difficult physical and financial predicament.

Poverty Situation

The division of resources, as well as wealth, is uneven in India - this disparity creates different poverty ratios for different states. For instance, states such as Delhi and Punjab have low poverty ratios. On the other hand, almost half the population in states like Bihar and Orissa live below the poverty line.
A number of factors are responsible for poverty in the rural areas of India. Rural populations primarily depend on agriculture, which is highly dependant on rain patterns and the monsoon season. Inadequate rain and improper irrigation facilities can obviously cause low, or in some cases, zero production of crops.
Additionally, the Indian family unit is often large, which can amplify the effects of poverty. Also, the caste system still prevails in India, and this is a major reason for rural poverty - people from the lower casts are often deprived of the most basic facilities and opportunities. The government has planned and implemented poverty eradication programs, but the benefits of these programs are yet to bear fruits.

                                                  INCREASING POVERTY IN INDIA
Since 1970, the Indian government has implemented a number of programs designed to eradicate poverty, and has had some success with these programs. The government has sought to increase the GDP through different processes, including changes in industrial policies. There is a Public Distribution System, which has been effective to some extent. Other programs include the Integrated Rural Development Program, Jawahar Rozgar Yojana and the Training Rural Youth for Self Employment (TRYSEM), and other on-going initiatives.

A terror blast again...mumbai

Three simultaneous blasts have rocked India's financial centre Mumbai, killing at least 13 people and injuring more than 80 in what the government called a "coordinated" terror strike.
"I have been informed that 13 are dead, and 81 injured," Maharashtra Chief Minister Prithviraj Chavan told reporters.
Mumbai police confirmed three blasts on Wednesday evening, one in central Mumbai and two in the south of the city, which is still scarred by the militant attacks of 2008 blamed on the Pakistan-based militant group Lashkar-e-Taiba.
"This was a coordinated attack by terrorists," Home Minister P Chidambaram told reporters in New Delhi.
"The entire city of Mumbai has been put on high alert. I would appeal to the people of Mumbai and people all over the country to remain calm," Chidambaram said, adding that federal investigative teams were being rushed to the city.
The targets included a predominantly middle class residential area, a wholesale gold market and a building housing diamond traders and jewellery shops, with the explosions reported at rush-hour, at around 6:30pm (2300 AEST).
"It is clear that the attackers wanted to hurt as many as people as possible. A lot of people are injured," a minister in the Maharashtra state government, Chhagan Bhujbal, told reporters.
In November 2008, 10 Islamist militants attacked multiple targets in Mumbai, including five star hotels, in a deadly assault that killed 166 people.
India blamed the Islamist group Lashkar-e-Taiba for the assault and broke off a peace dialogue with Islamabad. Talks between the two nuclear-armed rivals only resumed earlier this year.
Eyewitnesses outside the diamond trader building in South Mumbai said a car bomb had exploded at around 6:45 pm (2315 AEST)) when the area was packed with office people returning home from work.
"There were lots of people badly injured. We don't know how many are dead but it was a very big blast," Nimesh Mehta, 38, who runs a local food stall, told AFP.
"It was a cowardly attack," said Ravinder Singh, 48, the owner of a spare parts shop. "These were innocent people. Poor as well as rich."
The last major bombing incident in India was in February 2010 in the western city of Pune, when a blast at a packed restaurant killed nine people, including one foreigner.
In 2006, a series of seven high-powered blasts on suburban trains in Mumbai killed 187 commuters and left 800 injured, an attack that India also blamed on Pakistan-based militants.
Islamabad swiftly condemned Wednesday's attacks in a statement issued by the Pakistani foreign ministry.

A corruption RICH country.....INDIA

YES.....We are developing rapidly in corruption, poverty, scam, illegal activities and many more...
India tops the list for black money in the entire world with almost US$1456 billion in Swiss bank (approximately USD 1.4 trillion) in the form of black money. According to the data provided by the Swiss Banking Association Report (2006), India has more black money than the rest of the world combined. To put things in perspective, Indian-owned Swiss bank account assets are worth 13 times the country’s national debt.

scarcity of child's love

I have a couple of experiences in my life about the people who say that they are not happy with restrictions kept by their parents...But this one is the story of a man who have children and even stays in the road lane beside my house...
I was actually wondering that how could children can threw their parents out of their home.
The social-page describes a life of a person who have seen every luxury of the life and now leading his life on the road..
It starts with my day, when i get ready to my college and walk through the lane. That man will be drinking a tea with out his shower done,i have no idea about the man when did he actually had his bath.
The next thing he does is sleep the whole day and in the evening he will have a cup of tea again and then go for a evening walk ,mean wile in the afternoon he purchases 2 newspapers and read them, one is telugu and other one is The Times of India.YOU will be surprised to see that the man is educated...
One day i felt pity on the man and went to him,he was stinking a lot because he did not have his bath for many days.i asked he chaiwala to give him a cup of tea and some biscuits to eat which costs around 10rupees..the man showed me the tea he was drinking and said not to give him anything .I was a bit depressed  and asked him at-least to take the money.
The next movement he said me to take a look towards the hot cup of tea and he the money he had in the bag..I was speechless.i came home and sat quietly in my room with out talking to anyone.my mother came to me and she asked me what was happend, i said the whole story and was sad about it.it was surprising me to hear that he was on the same lane since my mothers childhood and will be recognizing my mother ...
This shows that the degradation of child's care towards their parents is not only in this generation but it is started long back..The present situation is more worse that those times...save the love given by your parents to you by giving them at their age.
